itestx is a browser extension for viewing and posting to 5ch and 2ch API-compatible message boards. It also provides features such as read-position tracking, NG filtering, and image previews.
The extension handles the following data as necessary to provide its functionality:
The developer does not intentionally collect names, addresses, email addresses, payment information, health information, or precise location information. Users should not enter personal or sensitive information in message board posts.
The data handled by the extension is used only for the following purposes:
The data is not used for advertising, user tracking, credit assessment, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's message board browsing and posting functionality.
User preferences, NG settings, browsing history, saved board and thread URLs, and read positions are stored locally on the user's device using Chrome's storage functionality.
The developer does not store this data on developer-operated servers. Locally stored data can be deleted by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling the extension.
When a user views a board or thread, the extension sends requests to the message board server selected by the user and retrieves posts, images, and other message board content.
When a user chooses to submit a post, the post text and other information required for posting are transmitted to the selected message board server. The privacy policy and terms of service of the relevant message board operator apply to data received by that server.
The destination server may automatically record information normally included in server logs, such as the user's IP address, request date and time, and request information. These logs are controlled by the message board operator, not by the developer of this extension.
The extension does not sell user data or provide it to advertising companies, data brokers, or other unrelated third parties.
Data is transmitted only to the message board server selected by the user, and only as necessary to retrieve message board content or perform a posting action explicitly requested by the user.
The developer does not have access to data stored locally on the user's device or to the contents of posts transmitted directly to message board servers.
Data stored locally remains on the user's device until it is deleted by the user. Users can delete locally stored data by clearing the extension's storage or uninstalling the extension.
Posts and server logs retained by message board operators are subject to the retention and deletion policies of those operators.
The extension uses HTTPS when it is supported by the destination server. Users should not submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information to destinations that do not provide an encrypted connection.
